This long and broad promenade lined by tall leafy trees takes you from Trafalgar Square straight to Buckingham Palace. It is used on ceremonial occasions such as royal weddings and jubilee celebrations and during state visits.
When the United Kingdom receives a state visit, the monarch and the visitor take a ride down this street which is decorated with flags of both states. The famous London Marathon finishes here, too. | If you manage to visit the road at the time of one of these events, it will be an unforgettable experience. It is also closed to traffic on Sundays.
