St. James's Park

Nature, Parks, & Gardens • London, England United Kingdom

London's oldest royal park was established in 1603. It occupies an area of nearly 60 acres and it is located close to the Buckingham Palace. It includes a lake with two small islands on it (Duck Island and West Island). There are many animals living in the park such as squirrels and pelicans.

Take a moment and relish the beautiful view of London's landmarks from the Blue Bridge spanning the St. James's Park Lake. There are also some remarkable places in the park itself, including the Tiffany Fountain or Queen Victoria Memorial.

Avid birdwatchers will have a great time on the Duck Island, which is home to at least 17 bird species.
