This monument, built in the 1670s, commemorates the Great Fire of London which destroyed the centre of London in 1666. It was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and it is located close to the place where the Great Fire of London actually started.
There is a viewing platform on the top from where you can take amazing panorama pictures of the city. There are more than 300 steps leading up there though and there is no elevator - but be assured that the view is definitely worth it.
