Located in the Southwark district, the building was designed by Norman Foster who is a famous British architect. Dominating the south bank, this building is a seat of the GLA, the highest London authority. It opened in 2002 and is now a major architectural landmark of London.

Parts of the building are open to the public and can be accessed. You can take the ramp and walk from the lower ground to the second floor, or you can visit the Chamber where various meetings and debates take place. If the meeting is public, you are invited to attend it.
